“We also use effective salt-tolerant mushroom strains to develop Eco-friendly Alternative Plastic and Styrofoam Substitute (ECAPASS) material for daily necessities and raw material for architecture and furniture,” adds Dr. Sim. These ECAPASS materials can be reused as a source of renewable energy and as organic fertilizer, evidencing the sustainability of SOVFarming.

Through its KENTLab (Korea Environment & Energy Technology Laboratory) R&D center, the company further promotes the recycling of used nuclear fuel for a renewable source of energy to achieve carbon neutrality and minimize radioactive waste. Also specializing in developing nuclear reactor safety measures to improve nuclear safety, KENTLab develops Safe and Self-driving Intelligent Reactor - Management Platform (S2IR-MP), applying big data and reinforcement learning technology for Small and Modular Reactors (SMRs) and Micro-Reactors (MRs), which are globally under development for carbon neutrality and thus sustainability.

What further sheds light on en2t’s abilities to provide effective food waste recycling solutions is its collaboration with a renowned theme park in Korea. Unable to manage its food waste, the client approached en2t and offered to build a 5 ton/day effective food waste recycling plant through a turn-key project. With en2t’s solution in place, the client was able to eradicate hurdles and achieve superior circular economy in return. Moreover, owing to the outstanding performances in the market, en2t was honored with the New Environmental Technology No. 43 (NET-43) Certificate, by the Ministry of Environment, in 2002, and Korea Green Management Award in Best Environment Technology, by Korea Management Association, in the same year of 2002.

Today, the company is promoting a 10 ton/day food waste recycling FOAKE (First-of-A-Kind Engineering) DEMO plant with SOVFarming showcase in both Korea and the US. The team is providing a center stage to DEMO plants in association with the company’s business partners present in the Middle East, China, India, and Indonesia as a part of the global franchise business model. For the NEOM or the Red Sea Development Projects, the company has joined hands with the local partners in Saudi to promote a DEMO plant as well. At the same time, en2t envisages a strong position of FOAKE DEMO plant in Indonesia for the New Capital development project in East Kalimantan on the island of Borneo.
