While Nimbus 9 is a button cell in a nine-millimeter format perfect for Bluetooth devices and wearables, Nimbus 20 is a coin cell in a 20-millimeter format that is most suitable for high power applications like IoT and LoRa devices. Nimbus is currently used across all sectors, from consumer and medical space to smart factories and aerospace applications.
The Nimbus series’ notable applications are found in fitness bands, biomedical patches, personal asset trackers, remote sensors, and more. These batteries also support longer device runtime and reliable wireless connection, thanks to their high-power density.

For instance, Millibatt’s batteries are a clear step up from the traditional small format cells comprising a 2D planar structure—two flat discs simply sandwiched together with chemicals—to include an additional intricate 3D structure between the flat discs for increasing the internal surface area between the electrodes. This maximizes the ion exchange rate between the surfaces, giving rise to high power density. The upgrade from 2D to 3D structure augments the internal footprint to provide the batteries with added power boost—a core differentiator for Millibatt in the battery manufacturing space. Millibatt’s patented process allows this structure to be realized in previously unattainable formats.
Equally commendable is Millibatt’s client engagement approach, which starts by understanding a client’s intended application. Then, leveraging its expansive battery database from their R&D and matching it with the client’s precise requirements, the company customizes its standard battery modules in the appropriate shape and dimension. Finally, the team sends a set of customized battery samples to the client to support their product development.
